DIY Bleach

I decided it was time to try and bleach my Timberland denim shirt. I bought it in a second hand store, and it cost me nearly nothing, so I thought it might just be the perfect try-out project. I really like the light denim that is seen everywhere right now, and a denim shirt is a must. I have the shirt, but the color is way too dark and…wintery. So I grabbed the shirt, a bucket and some chlorine; my shirt was to get a new life.

Step 1. Pick out the shirt. Read the care label and check if it is allowed to be bleached. If it has a little triangle, that means no bleaching since the fibers are likely to break) Well mine had a triangle, but I figured I’d try anyway. Denim is made to be bleached, right…?
Step 2. Put the object in a bucket with water and chlorine. At first I did as the chlorine bottle instructions said, 1dl in about 10l of water. Nothing happened. I left it to soak over night and nothing. I took it out and mixed new bleach water, with a lot more chlorine in it. And tadaaa, things started to happen. With every hour you could see the shirt getting lighter. Remember to make sure that the entire shirt is covered with “water”, otherwise the color could get uneven. My solution to that, our mop, to keep the shirt under the surface.
Step 3. Take it out when accomplished the preferred color. Make sure to wash the shirt properly to get the chlorine out so it doesn’t damage your other clothes. Let it dry. This is the color I got, and I left it to soak over night. BUT, what’s up with all the blue spots?? Not once did the shirt come above the surface, and still it is unequally bleached..!! I can’t describe if I think it is übercool or money down the drain…The overall color is really nice though. One thing is for sure, this shirt a la Julie, is one of a kind.
What do you think?

H&M Garden Colection

I have heard a lot of fuss about the H&M ”Garden Collection”, and seen some of the items here and there, and so I thought I might check out the whole collection online. It is actually pretty nice… It’s really summery and you just wanna hop around all tanned on a beach somewhere, where it is sunny and warm that is… So you all have seen the collection, but here are my favourites, and if some of the items were magically to appear in my closet tomorrow, I wouldn’t complain;) Just saying…
The last two styles are of course sold out. I first saw the colourful tunika on Elin Kling, in her pictures from her trip to Malaysia. No wonder I feel like running around on a paradise beach all tanned and summery! She is something that Kling girl, and her wardrobe is of the hook!

Yes I would like to go?! Are you kidding me?
Competition on Minoutfit.se. If you, like me, would like to win a trip for two to NYC , all you have to do is upload a picture of yourself, where you have styled yourself with at least one Nike item. It can be shoes or sportswear, you choose. You have to be a member to upload, but it is the easiest thing to become a member, so no worries. The competition ends 2 of April. Read more and enter here. I only have my spinning shoorts and trainers from Nike, let’s see what I can come up with them;)

Mary Roks

So, okay, now I found something I really really really want, and, if my next salary is big enough (haha dream on), I’m gonna buy them! You can get them in black (nice!), purple (naah…) and grey (YES!), And about 700kr they can be mine! Or if some one gets it, they would be the perfect idea for a gift…
They are temporarily sold out, which is perfect, coz anyway I don’t have the money until maybe April. And they will be in stock again in April. Meant to be, don’t you think?

The shoes are Jeffrey Campbell, and the model is Mary Roks. They can be purchased here.

New kid on the blog

I stumbled across a new blog today. I’m usually pretty sceptic about adding new blogs to my list, because it already is so annoyingly long. I don’t have the time to read all the updates on all the blogs, so now I’ve taken on a rule that says, if I add a blog, I must delete a blog. And this is the case. I must abandon a Danish blog, but I ain’t too sad, coz this blog is awesome!
Check out Columbines’ blog here. But be aware, it's in Swedish!
And yes, she is in the Kling-family, if you were wondering. She is so pretty though, right?

Salvation!

Thank GOD! Gossip Girl is back!! I have missed the regular Wednesday drama, jealousy, sex and fashion! Every time I see an episode, I can’t decide who I like the most, Blair or Serena. Blair is so cool and beautiful, while Serena has my dream hair…maybe I don’t have to decide:) It’s just so nice to have them back!
And Chuck is so hot!
This cover of Rolling Stone magazine, corny, beautiful and sexy, just the way I like it!

xoxo

I want I want I want!

As many other people, I have a birthday coming up... I took these pictures of my recent desires a couple of weeks ago in Illum and Notabene, and I’d forgotten all about them. But I was just checking through my pic’s and I thought I’d post them here, so everyone knows what I want;)
If I was a rich girl, nananananananaaa!
This body stocking, it is black and really pretty, and I love the mesh parts, especially coz they are not located directly on the fatty tummy area. I can't remember what label it is, but it can be found in Illum. I would wear this with my oversize beige blazer and a pair of highwaisted, bleached jeans, and some cool sandals, like these, which I wrote about before (that is when someone byes them for me of course;).

This dress is also really nice, with the lovely open back and color that I like. It is the same dress and it is shown here from the front and back. Again I can’t remember what label it is from but again, it can be found in Illum. I would wear it with my beige wedges, and maybe some cool stockings…hmmm…

I’m a tee-shirt girl, and this is such a cute tee! It is from See by Chloe, and may be found in Illum. I would wear it with bleached denim shorts and the Acne Atacoma wedge-boots. But since I don’t own the Acne babes, I would just wear my beige wedges…Potato potato, same same.

More Acne wishes… The dress, yum, and the beige shorts, YUM! The dress is totally summery, and would be my new favourite dress this spring/summer. I better start saving…

And the Noir Black blazer is just wishful thinking…I don’t think I have that kind of money to spend on that..:) Maybe a DIY project? Perhaps…but let’s leave it at that.  And the shoes, well, Givenchy’s  Riccardo Tisci might just be genius. Pricy though…autch!

I've decided, I'm gonna be Lara Stone in my next life.

Fabulous Lara Stone, so unbelievably sexy!

Summer lovin'

I’m all in for winter, I love winter! But it is starting to get on my nerves…this cold, no use winter of ours. It’s only because the Danes can’t handle the winter, and this winter it has been impossible to get around by bike, coz of all the damn salt-mixed snow… So summer, or spring, whichever comes the fastest, please come now!
I’m dreaming myself away into these pictures, and the fact that I’m off to Istanbul soon…aaahhhh, summer and sun, fill my blackened and cold heart with warmth and joy! :)

Pictures from my trip to Maxico last year, with Simone. I SO wanna go back there! So nice, you can't imagine...

…And some pic’s from a week spent in the lovely Finnish archipelago. It’s heaven on earth in the summer, so beautiful…

(The Japaneese, well they are suckers for taking pictures, of basically anything! Here they belive they saw the famous "little mermaid"...)
Thailand, the land of short thaigirls and ladyboys, cheap drinks in coconuts, SUN and monkey islands. A family trip we took 2 years ago. I'm going back there also. Soon!

Oh summer and sun, I miss you so...

Friday

Friday was a real roommate day. Me and L went Bollywood shopping, and it resulted in this:
These fabrics are just fab! The green one is to be transformed into a dress for me, and the purple fabric is to become covers for some bigass pillows. Cool huh?

And mmm-m-MMM! Yummy yummy yummy I got cake in my tummy. This French place serves the best cakes, so not the last time I'm gonna go there! And when I say French, I mean FRENCH! Could hardly understand what the guy was saying because of his French accent, and his hand gestures in between the blu ble bly ble blue tut poofs...But cake he can make!

I wore my new Cheap Monday velvet pants. 100kr well spent.

Chloë S

She has done it again. I must have the April 2010 Elle Uk number!

Who the fuck is Alice?

Thursday: Us gals went to see Alice in Wonderland. It was the premiere and we were not the only ones wanting to see the movie on the premiere night. The movie was good, better then I expected, and I expected a lot. But, yes here comes the but… the 3D effects weren’t all that. It was ok, but it wasn’t like Avatar, where 3D made the movie. So go see it for the movie, not for the effects…
My outfif, exciting as it was...:
Longsleeved tee Topshop, skirt Gina Tricot, leggins Indiska, knitted sweater San Antonio, hairthing with feathers Monki.

Sorry about the messy room...

Old boy Oscar

The Oscars; the Superbowl of fashion.
These are my favorite dresses from the Oscars. Overall I was pretty pleased with the dresses this year. And I love the color scale, pale silvers, gold, dark blue, nudes and grays. The bling was also tasteful, not too shiny, and mostly in the same colors as the dress it self. Take a look.
