Reindeer

REN = reindeer or clean in swedish. Also a product I bought a week ago. Muy expensivo, holy shit! But the only thing the pharmacy had that didn't include any of that nasty shit they put in cremes, you know, like perfume and sulfates. In denmark the selection is somewhat wide, and I used Derma's Eco day creme, that costs around 80kr. Well this REN facial creme cost me 44€! It better work it's magic and show some results!

Clear, bright, redness free face, come to me!

What makeup can do

OmG! I found this crazy talented makeup artist on Milk/Signe's blog, and I had to double check what I was looking at. Tutorials for how to completely transform yourself with the help of makeup. This stuff is off the hook!

Same girl in all pictures! The first picture is of Promise Phan as Princess Jasmine from Aladdin (my favorite!!!) and the next one is a Pocahontas look.
The bottom right picture is Promise Phan without makeup.
Can you guess the rest?

Watch Promise Phan do the Avatar look here, and a Taylor Swift look here. (I know no one want's to look like Taylor Swift, but apart from that it's amazing how close she gets to looking like her!)

Lipstick mania

So home with me from Topshop came these yummy lipsticks. Or one of them is a lipstick, and the other is more like a lip "pen". But they both rock.

The lipstick is in the color OHH LA LA, and is more shiny and pinky peachy-ish, while the lip "pen! is in the color RAPTUROUS and totally matte and more like a red gone orange.
They also had a very screaming orange in the lipstick (shinier) version, and I'm kinda bummed now that I didn't buy that one too. Now my collection is nearly full.

Nail fetish

I'm somewhat of a collector when it comes to nail-polishes, a thing I started on at a pretty young age... I have a whole drawer full of polishes, in multiple colors, and I still can't seem to get enough! But now I've made a deal with my self. When I use one up or throw it out, I may buy a new one. That means I'm changing nail polish now, as a baby changes diapers.
The only exception I have is the Shatter polish from OPI. That's must if you ask me, it's just too cool! And hopefully soon it'll be mine!
But anyways...here are the most recent colors I've been wearing :)

Last week I wore this dark green color from Urban Outfitters. Picture stolen from Maria.

Today I'm wearing a funky blue version from H&M.

Now I'm off to an event, more on that later!
xx!

Nail-polish amore

So I'm a little bit down these days, since Emily left me for the even colder Finland, and it is still to be determined when I will see her pretty face again.
But there is some positive in the negative though, because she left me this disco queen heavenly sparkly nail polish (among with a shitload of body lotions, creams, magazines etc.) . Yup, she gave it to me. Yet another one to my collection.... But its sooo pretty!
I feel all gaga now...;)

New in the beautybox

I bought this new lipstick in Finland, in Inglot, where my friend works. They have SOOOO many colors, so it was very hard to choose... Definitely worth checking out!
I ended up with this ultra pink one, just to add some color to my very dark wardrobe. I hope to be able to wear more light colors this summer, together with bright makeup. But we'll see.

I aslo got this dark nail-polish from my roommate, who got it from her schoolmate. They think it's too dark (?!?!?) so it found its way to me. Awesome! This petrol-night color is just the color that describes my mood right now, so thank you oh generous ones :)

Hair mask

We had a girls pampering night when I was in Finland, where we went to the sauna and all, and I thought it could me a good idea to make a hair-mask, since my hair is as dry as hay. So I remembered reading something on one of my favorite blogs; Emily Salomon, about a home made hair mask, that should do the trick. So I made a blend of 4 avocados, 3 bananas, 3 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp almond oil, 3 tbsp rosewater and some fresh rosemary. We were 4 people with all short thin hair, so there was enough to use as facials as well :) I don't have any pictures of  us being green and alien like, so you'll only get photos of the hair smoothie itself.
The best part with it was (if you use organic rosewater), it was totally eatable! And it actually tasted good!

My hair was delightfully moist after that, so definitely not the last time I make it!

Julie tests

Eyelash perm + coloring.

One of the christmas presents that I got this year was a gift certificate to a Beauty Salon, where I could choose from either a lash extension or a lash perm (=curling) and coloring. I chose the perm and the coloring, coz I am a mascara girl all the way, and you can't really wear mascara on the extensions.
I had it done on friday, before I had an massage and went to the hairdresser. I took an before picture and and after picture, so you get the picture of what I'm talking about.

Before picture. I have bent my eyelashes in the morning, coz I can't take looking at myself in the mirror if I don't. I'm not keen on looking like I just got out of the grave... Anyways, I have a little color left from the last time I colored them. That was over a month ago, and I color them myself with a brown color.

The after picture: I took this one today, because I didn't realize  the one I took right after had my eyes all bloodshot, because I got some of the coloring cream in my eyes.
(Hello oily skin!)
Well I also colored my eyebrows yesterday, so you also can see the difference in the colors. My lashes are colored with a dark blue-black color.

I must say I am very pleased with the result so far, even though the lashes are a bit too curly. But they will start to "fall down" soon, so I guess it doesn't matter. The perm and color usually lasts 1-2 months.
Thanx mom!!!
What do you think?

My friend also had her lashes done, but chose the extensions instead. Here is a before and after of the extensions, for those who are interested.

Before. No makeup and no flash on the camera.

How it's done. All lashes are glued on separately.

After. With makeup and flash.

The nail-polish massgrave

Now well in Istanbul I thought I might introduce two new arrivals to my nail-polish collection. Received these two babes in the mail a couple of days ago. Bought them on no other them eBay... The Essie is in the color 'Bordeaux' and has this lovely deep red color. I tried it on at Maria's place and immediately fell in love. With the OPI one I took a shot, and yup, it paid off! The OPI is in the color 'You Don't Know Jaques!'. My first OPI nail-polish, how exciting:)!

Since I have so many nail-polishes and I can't seem to get enough of them, I thought I'd better organize them so that I don't forget what I have. Plus I ought to throw the old ones out I guess...buhuuu:( So a bigger project to when I get back home...

I just can't seem to get enough of...!

p.s this post if for you Long, happy birthday!

Bye bye Mystic

This is the last time I wear my light purple nailpolish "Mystic".

This is the first time I have worn a nailpolish out... RIP Mystic! You did me proud.
