Paradise MOTEL

Cheap, slutty, bitching, tacky and oh so entertaining! Paradise Hotel airs again with a new season that most definitely will keep many glued to the screen! It is even more extreme than the other years and the bitchin’, flirting and messing around has already started. I saw episode number two this evening at a friends place, and it ended with a clip from tomorrows episode. It’s really a pity that I don’t have cable, coz now I won’t find out what a Russian Roulette looks like, and how one dresses if one looks like a Russian Roulette. Maybe it is something like this?

But I guess Paradise style is something like; a bunch of holes with something stuffed into one of them…Wanna find out? Stay tuned!

Socks in sandals

If someone says socks in sandals, I would say no no NO! But apparently they now are go go go! I remember when my mom showed me a picture of her in the 80’s. She was wearing some hideous shorts and bare legs. It was in the summer, and in hot France, yet she still had put socks in her high heeled sandals. I laughed in her face and asked if they didn’t have mirrors in the 80’s (if you would see pictures of my mom from the 80’s, you really might think that the mirror wasn’t invented yet, honest mistake!). She just told me it was fashion. I was like yeah right.
Look at me now, I think socks in sandals are great! It was Burberry Prorsums draped collection that ploughed the way for socks in sandals, or so I think. Have a look, it’s nice YES?

                                                                     Burberry Prorsum
Socks in sandals on Kate Moss.

Its funny, when you write socks into the Google image bar, it automatically suggests –and sandals, as the first suggestion! That kinda made my day :)

The verdict is, socks and sandals can be friends after all. BUT, there are still some ground rules regarding socks in sandals. For example in cases like this (picture below); this should be punishable by law and lead to the electric chair! It does not have anything to do with being fashionable, but when people want to look like idiots and annoy the fuck out of their fellow people, it should not go unpunished!

Even though you want to spice it up with some green socks or whatever, it’s just not right

Purple Pills

Okay so I went down to the pharmacy today, and I’m pissed. 316kr for those pills... I was like, are you kidding me?!? They better work, or I’ll get really mad! As Ross would say; “I will be revenged!” What a rip-off. I could have gotten atleast two shirts from H&M for that price...
Oh well, possible side effects, here I come!

Weekend-fun

So here is an update on what I have done this weekend;

-Thursday: picked up my special friend at the airport, and only 7 hours later than planned. It wasn’t entirely his fault he was late, something with an engine that stopped working in the middle of the flight and I guess they thought that it really was that necessary to turn back. Fine, whatever. But we made it to Fifty Fifty after all, which was the highlight of my weekend. This is simply because Fifty Fifty is the finest sushi restaurant in town, capital letters. And if you didn’t get it, I love sushi.

-Friday: Window shopping and Zara drooling. That you know already. Then we bought some tenderloin steaks from the local butcher. We made dinner, and eating the steak was like having angels sing on your tongue. Maybe that was the highlight of my weekend…? Anyway we ate, had some friends over, drank, played drinking games and got drunk. Some more than others... We went to Idealbar, and then we found out that, no, we still don’t like polka music. We continued next door to Vega, and got disappointed. They promised Claudia Shiffer, but instead they had dirty toilets and ugly English guys. Overall a pretty successful night.
-Saturday: Hangover and watching movies. In the evening we went to eat ribs…mmm…and then we went home to watch some more movies.

-Sunday: Sleeping till noon and blog reading. Then at 3.30 PM I found myself at my waxing ladies place. My dear lord what agony! All access hair was removed and after a while I ended up feeling relieved. (It’s nicer to be hairless and chubby than hairy and chubby…) In the evening we watched Friends and ate a very nice sallad.

Monday, that is today, I dropped my special friend off at the airport. We said our goodbyes after a NICE coffee frappucino.

Then I went to school, snore, and then I went to the doctors’. She described me some pills, let’s see what good they will do for me.

Monday: To be continued...

Campbell-soup-dress

Everybody knows that Friday is Project Runway day. But I had to make an exception. I was already 1 episode behind and… and and I panicked! I promise next to time watch my Project Runway episodes on Fridays… But it was nice to see women dress up in Campbell-soup dresses :D

Zara cravings

Went into Zara yesterday, big mistake! Look what I found! It’s hard not to have any money, and crave something so badly…

Crush

Love love LOOOVE this Zara 2010 spring campaign! Toni Garrn is so effortlessly beautiful, I wish I could look like her. And her hair, I’m very inspired by that loose braid thing she has going on. It has been going on, on the catwalks as well, and it’s a hairstyle that’s easy and chic. Verdict: I LIKE!
I also like the clothes in this campaign, that grey blazer and leather shorts, yummy!

Wang obsession

Alexander Wang is a genius if you ask me. And I have developed a passion for his bags. My savings account is empty, but from now on I will start saving! 4708kr…And I might have about 200kr to put aside this moth. So only 4508kr to go! Piece of cake.
I must admit that before I couldn’t stand the sight of the Olsson twins. But lately I kinda warmed up to them. Now they are pretty high on my list of inspirational people. I guess it’s because they lost the “innocent look”, they stopped over pouting their lips at every given chance, and stopped making the famous beyond crappy movies, that I noticed, hey, they DO have style and YES I’d like to steal their wardrobe!
Here MK works my dream bag, and she does it damn well!

Tight ass here I come!

I just ordered these very fashionable Nike spinning capri pants online. And only 199kr! Mission accomplished. I now only need a hoodie and spinning shoes. Soon I’ll have the tightest ass in town!

4.2.10

Today’s outfit is pretty laid back…I was in a hurry and it’s so freaking cold outside, so I basically just wear what’s comfortable. And no one really gets to see my outfits anyway. It’s so cold so the jacket stays on inside as well. You like my white sports socks ;)? Sexy kitten…. NOT :)
And by the way, I think my interview went well! I have one more interview (level 2), and then hopefully I have the job!

Wall of fame

My wall is coming along. My plan is to get a lot of pictures up on my wall. The pictures are taken from magazines; they are, you know, fashion spreads. And only the ones that I really like may come up on my wall ;) I’ve taken on this project because I like to personalize my room. And even though my room is the smallest room you’ve ever seen, it’s nice to feel like it’s your own space, even though the space is minimal… I’ll take a picture of it some day when it’s clean, so get the idea of how freakishly small it is!
I will now continue cleaning, since I’m gonna have a special someone come and visit me this weekend. And then I have a job interview this afternoon too! Wish me luck ;) Have a fabulous day!
Later!

It wanted to be found...

So yesterday I went to seek something my wardrobe needs… I was supposed to by a cheap sweatshirt/hoodie from Mango, but with my luck, it obviously was sold out. So I’m still looking for these exciting things; a cheap hoodie that I can use before, during and after the gym, spinning shorts/pants, and spinning shoes. I am so boring I know. But my bank account is screaming with emptiness, and since I have no job, I must limit my self to what I really need. Blaah…

But yesterday, stupid as I was, I went into Gina Tricot. I bought a cardigan, which is okay, since I kinda need one, and some earrings. Bad Julie! But what’s a girl gonna do? Anyway here you have the obligatory pictures of my newly bought treasures.
Earrings 79 bananas and the cardigan 129 bananas.

DIY Grey

I made my own nail polis. Yup! Or I didn’t exactly make it make it; I just wanted to have a light grey in my collection, so I took one of my old white ones, which I never use, and mixed some gray into it. I have a grey nail polish from urban outfitters, which I quite like, but now I just needed something lighter. It took me to old nail polishes to make the one I wanted; the first one was a shimmering white, so the color turned out silver…blaaah. But now I have the perfect color :)

Musica

I just finished listening (again) to Ayoe Angelicas CD, "I'm amazed". It’s perfect for Sunday chilling in a light mood. She is making a new album as it is. Hope it’s gonna be as good as the last one :)

What should i listen to now...?

Donna Hobohabbahabba!

Donna Hobo, please be mine! I’ll be ever so true to you!

I have seen this bag in black, but it is nothing compared to this miracle in sand! My, it’s pure magic!

YUM!

Swine flu

Dear all, I have been absent again. I have been quite occupied… It all started on Monday. I was at school, doing my thing, but I was feeling extra tired. After school I went to visit some family friends with my dad. We had a great time, we told stories and laughed at the swine flu “epidemic”. When my dad drove me home I was freezing, and by the time I got home my body was acing and I was freezing like a Turkish belly dancer at an Alaskan dog slay race. Anyway, it was all downhill from there. I had an extremely high fever until yesterday, where I actually could get up from my sweaty bed not only to go to the toilet, but also to “cook dinner”. Now I have no fever, I’m still a bit sore and weak, but it should be okay now. From next week I am as good as new. I just wanted to be honest, this time I was not lazy with the updating, just incapable ;)

Fierce!

These pictures are just so beautiful! I found them on a newly discovered website; http://fashiongonerogue.com/. They have some really amazing pictures!
It is because of pictures like these, and the ones showed on the website, that I find fashion so interesting. It is art, yet it is also a lifestyle. I can look at pictures like these for hours…
The dresses are Victor&Rolf, the model is Magdalena Frackowiak and the photograper is Josh Olins.

Cut it out!

Yesterday I finally got to go through all of my magazines, and I cut out all the pictures that I though were extra pretty. From now on they will serve their purpose on my wall, as art. I will take a picture later, and show you. It’s gonna be fab!

Something old...

My jewelry box is full of old crap, but the box itself is quite nice. Even though it is useless and unpractical…I need to update it.

...something new

My new shoes. I think I have to own hem in black as well... They are from dope, and they cost 349kr. Great success!

Update

I had a pretty decent Christmas this year. I went home to Finland for the holidays, and I spent my time in both Tahko and in my hometown, Turku. Tahko is a skiing resort up in the middle part of Finland, where my family spends most of their holidays and days of. It is quite a drive from where they live normally, about 550km, meaning spending at least 6h in the car to get there. But we have made it into a tradition to spend Christmas there as well. As I said earlier, this year went surprisingly well. No bigger arguments, which is very rare since the living space up there is a total of 47m2, which is shared by four people! Anyway, it was nice, freaking cold (-25C’), but nice, and it was fun to take the old snowboard on a downhill ride.
The other half of the 9 days I spent in Finland I spent in Turku, with a special someone. No names necessary. I also met up with some friends, and had a pretty chill time. And by the way, my friend M got a dog! And believe me, it is the cutest! Even though he is a humper… at the early age of 9 weeks. So what? I want a dog!! A female though…
So when I came back home from my holiday, it was time to celebrate New Years Eve. Or this was the case for everybody else, see I had to work. I had a job at this shitty restaurant, and I offered my self to work on New Years Eve, coz I needed the money. I regret this decision very much now. I’ll just summon it up with some keywords; nasty customers, no breaks, bar fight, flying broken bottles, blood, police, asshole boss…well you get the picture. I no longer work there.
That was just a tiny update on what I have been up to. Now I have been really sick, and I am sick of being sick, and I’m tired of tea! I want to get back in shape, and this being sick is a mayor setback in my new and “healthy” lifestyle. Sickness go away, I demand you!!

So with no job and no money, I continue my journey in hopes of beckong Americas next top model! No...in hopes of one day becoming a successful person :)

Fear not!

Greetings all of you (one person + me;) who reads this. I’m BACK! Hahaa I know I haven’t been too active, but mark my words, from now on, I will do my very best to update. :)
Okay so now when that’s settled, I can continue babbling on about stuff that matter.

I know I know....

So I know I just made a post about me being so happy with my new blog, and then I go and neglect my blog… Bad bad girl, I know! I have only had time to read other peoples blogs, and since I have no followers yet, I’m not obligated to post anything : ) Ha ha..
So now some blogloving. Or posting, whatever you prefer to call it.
But I’m still getting used to the whole “look of the day”…taking pictures of my self and stuff…But I’m gonna get there! (also when I have lost a few kilos…)

Anyway here’s one where I’m trying new hairstyles, curls a la The City, but since I’m practically bald and my hair is not long enough, I don’t have a lot of hair to play with. But it was fun as long as it lasted. Of course when I got to the place where I later had brunch, my hair has all non-curly, wet-dog kinda style, because of the lovely Danish weather. So the outcome of my “new hairstyle experience” was that I should just not bother trying. I’ll just wear my hat :)
And this is a bad pic anyway, you can't even see the curls I managed to create..Bummer...

Jessica Szorh

So I think that Jessica Szorh is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen! Mildly said. I LOVE her style, pretty basic but rock, which is quite me. If I looked like her, I would never say anything negative in my life, ever again! But since I’m a blond I can’t see how I could ever look anything like her (even if I wasn’t blond). But I guess it’s always like that, if you are a blond, you want to be a brunet, and if you are a brunet you would like to be a blond. Or that’s how it is with me. If I compare all the people who I think are “top most beautiful people in the world”, they are all (almost) brunets. Ex. Jessica Szorh, Eva Mendes, Beyonce Knowles, Adriana Lima, Ayoe Angelica, my friends Annika and Lisa Auramo and Audrina Patridge. All brunets. Funny.

I really like Jessica Szorhs style, as mentioned before, especially the leopard shoes, grrr…But two of the pictures are the same top middle and lower to the right, and I do not know what has happened to her hair? Not my favourite hair-do.
And don’t get me started on Ed Westwick, he is oh so gorgeous! But in this picture, not at all like the mysterious Chuck Bass. Can’t tell which one I like more, Chuck or Ed…? Chuck is more manly, Ed looks so tiny here…but I like that he has a personal style. Tough choice…
